About the role
At Mantel Group, our goal is to strengthen and grow our client relationships, positioning ourselves as the preferred partner in our specialised capabilities. To help us achieve this, we are seeking a Bids & Tenders Lead to join our team. This exciting role will see you working across Mantel Group’s diverse range of services and supporting key accounts by supporting strategic bid responses and pursuits as well as playing a vital part in our continued success and growth.
Your day-to-day
As a Bids & Tenders Lead, you will help drive the bid management process, collaborating with internal stakeholders to align Mantel Group's capabilities with client needs, enabling Mantel Group to craft compelling propositions for our clients. You will help drive strategic bid pursuits from initiation to delivery, ensuring seamless engagement with both clients and teams throughout the process.
More specifically:
- Leading the end-to-end bid management process, including qualification, bid strategy and planning, team engagement, bid response and bid delivery, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Assisting in managing the tenders funnel, providing visibility, and helping to track and manage opportunities across key accounts, with a focus on ongoing and upcoming tenders.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of bid responses by helping to define success metrics, supporting process improvements, capturing lessons learned and offering input on response quality.
- Maintaining and updating bid collateral, including the response repository, case studies, templates and shared resources, ensuring materials remain current and consistent.
The role will also be responsible for research and analysis, building and maintaining relationships and looking for opportunities for continuous improvement.
What you’ll need to be successful
- Experience in, or desire to learn about, bids and strategic pursuits, guiding the end-to-end process, and working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality outcomes.
- Experience developing strong relationships across the business, focusing on building long-lasting relationships with both technical and business stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration.
- Ability to understand and articulate client needs, identifying, understanding and effectively communicating client needs and wants based on proposal content.
- Experience in facilitating and contributing to large-scale proposals, supporting not only the coordination and facilitation of proposals but also actively contributing to responses with quality and efficiency.
- Motivated by bringing teams together to solve client business problems, facilitating collaboration among teams to address client challenges and deliver impactful outcomes.
