About the role
In this role, you’ll be the heartbeat of our project delivery, supporting our Cloud domain with appropriate resourcing. You’ll sit at the intersection of our people, our clients, and our business strategy. Your mission is to ensure we have the right people on the right projects at the right time, balancing operational efficiency with a deeply human-centric approach to career growth.
Your day-to-day:
Work collaboratively and communicate efficiently with Mantel account teams and leadership in prioritising and sourcing the best available teams to meet project requirements
Use your understanding of current team skills and the future sales pipeline to guide leadership on suitable decisions - advising when to hire externally versus when to focus on internal upskilling.
Maintain accurate data on team availability and project allocations, providing regular reporting to the Cloud leadership team on upcoming areas of project resourcing or contention etc
Actively seek the balance between individual consultant passions, client satisfaction, and business sustainability.
You ensure great project opportunities are shared across the whole team so that everyone has a chance to develop their skills.
Democratise growth by ensuring high-value project opportunities are visible to the entire team, preventing "silos" and ensuring equitable skill development.
Schedule and manage internal training programs to close skill gaps identified during the resourcing process.
Ensure team certifications and development milestones are recorded and kept up to date.
Act as the central point of coordination for internal initiatives, ensuring they are resourced appropriately without compromising client delivery.
Use professional judgement while treating colleagues and clients with respect and compassion, and a demonstrated ability to display our five Mantel principles
What you’ll need to be successful:
You are comfortable challenging and following up leadership to ensure we get the best outcome for our team and projects
While you don't need to write code, you understand the difference between technical stacks. You can talk to engineers about their craft without getting lost in the jargon.
You are curious and enjoy spotting patterns in data. You can look at a utilisation report or a sales pipeline and translate those numbers into a narrative about hiring needs or skill gaps.
Ideally you have worked in a similar consulting role before and understand the need for agility and how project resource management works
