From strategic account management to marketing and events to technical solutioning, the Client Experience team is focused on delivering the best possible outcomes for our clients.
About the role:
Mantel is growing its client base across a broad portfolio of ASX 100 enterprise clients. Our objective is to grow our relationships with our clients and be the preferred partner of choice in the capabilities we specialise in. To deliver on this objective, we are looking for an experienced Client Engagement Principal to join Mantel. This role is a leadership role, with a strong focus on building strategic and long-lasting relationships with clients, whilst ensuring the quality of engagements meet and exceed the expectations of our clients.
The Client Engagement Principal will play a pivotal role in developing strong relationships with client stakeholders. You will lead the client engagement strategy and plan, and be able to match Mantel’s USP to the clients needs and wants in order to secure programs and projects. Operationally, you will be able to creatively construct propositions and follow engagements through the full sales cycle from prospecting to pre-sales to initial scoping phases to delivery execution - ensuring client satisfaction and success along the way.
Your day to day:
Create a clear strategy to retain and grow a client partnership. You will have experience in stakeholder relationship development, opportunity and pipeline management, and client health and governance cadence
Build strategic relationships with clients (business, technology and executive stakeholders)
Establish relationships with the Mantel teams, including peers, Partners, capability and delivery teams. You will able to take project teams on the journey and facilitate the client engagement to successful client outcomes
Develop deep understanding of the client business and industry needs and wants and outcomes (problem/opportunities), including key players and relationship maps
Ability to translate client requirements and establish Mantel pre sales teams to formulate solutions that exceed their needs
Understanding of and experience with - account management methodologies and execution
Use professional judgement while treating colleagues and clients with respect and compassion, and a demonstrated ability to display our five Mantel principles
What you’ll need to be successful:
You will have experience in developing strong and long-lasting relationships with technical and business leaders at senior and executive levels.
You have the ability to identify, understand and articulate client needs and wants
You are motivated by facilitating teams to solve client business problems and deliver outcomes that solve problems for your client
Your definition of success in this role will be defined by client satisfaction and the growth of the relationship Mantel has with the client. Equally, satisfaction and pride in the team’s health and engagement on your client projects
You will have extensive experience in leading the active end to end account strategy and planning with all team members working with and for your client
You will have a proven track record leading the full client engagement life cycle, including presales, pitch, onboarding, delivery, governance, offboarding, client satisfaction
You will have prior experience working within a professional services consulting, hyper-scalers (e.g., AWS, Google) or technical product sales environments
You will have experience or ability to lead teams, without direct line management.
Ideally you will have experience working with partners, i.e., AWS, Google, Microsoft, Snowflake, Databricks etc.
