Data Working in data at Mantel means you'll be ahead of the curve. You can align to a particular cloud platform or remain cloud agnostic, specialising in data engineering, machine learning, analytics, or data science. You'll design and scale enterprise-level, fully automated Agentic AI solutions, and speed up data platform migrations.

Your day-to-day

• Take ownership of project outcomes by shaping direction, leading teams and fostering a culture of growth, development and excellence. Build strong client relationships, drive commercial success, and expand Mantel’s impact.

• Deliver Mantel’s core analytics offerings and provide technical guidance on client projects. Work with project leadership to define scope, align on expectations, manage dependencies, escalate and mitigate risks, and seek timely support.

• Create and maintain scalable data pipelines, models, dashboards and reports to make data accessible to clients in a useful, timely, robust and intuitive way.

• Successfully lead small teams, operate as the Technical Lead on a project and/or work collaboratively in larger teams of people with varying levels of experience.

• Have knowledge of modern AI advancements and how Generative and Agentic AI can be applied to deliver value across our Mantel Group offerings. Implement it where feasible, and advocate for its broader use in the client environment.

• Articulate how our AI offerings solve specific client problems, and know where its limitations are.

• Helping to train, coach and mentor others within the team through on-the-job teaching, tutorials, hands-on training, presentations and other similar activities.

• Use professional judgement while treating colleagues and clients with respect and compassion, and a demonstrated ability to display our Mantel principles.

What you’ll need to be successful: 

• Previous experience in a hands-on Lead data analytics role, BI or related Lead role

• Demonstrated hands-on data experience across BI, data warehousing, data modelling, modern cloud platforms.

• Experience in creating efficient, scalable & quality data models, with an appreciation of different data modelling approaches such as Kimball's dimensional modelling, Data Vault etc.

• Programming and data manipulation skills using SQL, Python and experience with modern data tech stack such as dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, Azure Data Factory, Power BI, Qlik, Looker

• Exposure to the LLM lifecycle, including experience integrating Generative AI or Agentic workflows into data products.

• Previous application of DataOps tools and best practices in your data workflows.

• Lead and inspires teams by delegating, empowering and demonstrating genuine care of team members to allow them to run client/project day to day and deliver solutions

• Be client focused by building trusted relationships, influencing, dealing with ambiguity, navigating challenges and providing solutions

• Have a mindset of exploring new opportunities (upselling/discovering leads) through exposure such as shadowing others, seeking advice and attending pre sales meetings
