About the role
Part of our People Experience team, this role is the heartbeat of our Melbourne office - someone who takes great pride in their work and truly owns the physical space, ensuring our office is not just immaculate and seamlessly run, but stands out as a warm, welcoming environment for our people.
This isn’t just about running the front desk; it’s about ensuring exceptional, thoughtful experiences for our team, visitors and clients every single day. From coordinating impactful events to supporting onboarding experiences for new starters, your work will directly shape our culture and team connection.
This is a full-time, office-based role, Monday to Friday (9:00am – 5:00pm).
Your day-to-day
Vibe & Office Ownership: You will lead a vibrant and inspiring Melbourne office. Taking true ownership of the physical environment, you will ensure the space is kept immaculate, runs smoothly, and feels like a place where people want to work, collaborate and connect.
Team Experience & Engagement: Creating exceptional people experiences is the core of what you will do. You’ll partner with internal teams and leaders to design and deliver thoughtful initiatives that bring our people together, foster genuine connection, and elevate our daily people experience.
Event Coordination: You’ll lead the end-to-end experience of our team and client office events and social gatherings. From seamless logistics to creative execution, you'll ensure every event feels intentional, impactful and memorable.
Hospitality & First Impressions: You’ll elevate our welcoming experience - as the face of the Melbourne office, you will ensure every team member, client and visitor receives genuine care and feels taken care of from the moment they step through the door.
Conscious Resource Management & Office Safety: Manage office supplies, catering, and swag with a mindful approach. You’ll make good choices that balance efficiency with sustainability. We will support you to become a First Aider and Fire Warden for the Melbourne office (training provided as needed).
Principles in Action: You’ll role model and weave our Mantel Principles into every interaction - you’ll approach daily challenges with professional judgment, empathy, and a people-first mindset.
This role may require some out of hours work to attend and support events in the office. We trust you to make good decisions and balance your time where out of hours work is required.
What you’ll need to be successful:
Experience in a similar workplace, hospitality or events-focused role where customer/employee experience was the top priority
Exceptional communication & interpersonal skills - you’re a clear, kind communicator who makes sound decisions based on good judgement.
You take pride in the office. You’re naturally observant and notice the small details - from a messy kitchen to the overall office vibe, you proactively jump in to help before others notice.
You recognise there’s no task too big or too small - you’re hands-on, practical, and happy to roll up your sleeves. Whether you’re brainstorming a new idea or restocking snacks, you bring the same level of care, enthusiasm, and positive energy.
You’re highly organised and have great time management skills - you can manage competing priorities at once with ease.
You’re naturally a proactive self-starter who knows how to seek out information and work comfortably with ambiguity.
At Mantel, we want you to be yourself. We trust our team members to use their professional judgment while treating colleagues and clients with respect, compassion, and professionalism in alignment with our five principles.
You take ownership, always stepping up to help and prioritising your teammates. You're also a clear, kind communicator who makes sound decisions based on good judgement.
